Congress patronage is the reason for the growth of PFI: Sunil Kumar
Minister of Energy and Kannada Culture V Sunil Kumar said that the reason for the growth of PFI to this extent is the support of the Congress. Commenting on the background of the PFI ban, he said that the banning of the PFI organization is welcome. He congratulated the Prime Minister and Home Minister for taking a tough decision.
PFI was doing violence and creating unrest in the society. Targeting and killing of Hindu organizations was the work of PFI. He said that this organization was ready to make India an Islamic nation.
PFI was associated with global terrorist organizations like ISIS. He said that not only did they hatch a conspiracy to threaten the internal security of the country, but they also used to harass Muslim youths and send them to the ISIS organization.
Congress leaders did not open their mouths when activists of the same organization entered the police station in Hubli and Mangalore and ran a racket. Even when Congress laid siege to DJ Halli and KG Halli police station in Bengaluru and set fire to its own MLA's house, the Congress did not raise its voice. He questioned whether this was not a proof of the soft attitude of the Congress in favor of PFI.
Organizations doing illegal activities are not allowed in the country. The issue of foreign money transfer and violence has come to light in the investigation. The Congress government stood in support of PFI. Congress is responsible for the misdeeds and sedition activities. The Siddaramaiah government had withdrawn the cases of activists of terrorist organizations.
The Congress government led by Siddaramaiah is the reason why PFI has grown to this extent in the state. During his tenure, more than 100 cases filed against the PFI organization were withdrawn. Siddaramaiah granted amnesty to more than 1,400 PFI militants. As a result of this, Culture and Energy Minister Sunil Kumar said that the Congress was responsible for the serial killing of Hindu activists in the state.
